In Nokia PC Suite there is a tool that copy your application in the application folder also it can check the compatibility of the file. While downloading any application for getjar you should need to give the model number of your phone to download application with accurate format for your mobile phone. Hi, i would like to recover a text message that i've recieved but i deleted it by mistake and i couldnt read it. My phone is a Nokia 5310 XpressMusic, my SMS inbox is on the phone memory. Download the Nokia USB Driver on your computer. If already downloaded then transfer to your computer. Extract the downloaded Nokia USB Driver zip file. Remember the location of the extracted folder. Right-click on Windows icon and open Device Manager (for Windows 10). For other windows, you can search for Device Manager and open it.

Simply Brilliant !!!

PROs - almost everything.
- Convenient size
- Excellent PHONE
- Great Sound, clarity etc
- Battery Life
- Excellent features
CONs - don't seem to be able to change the function of the RIGHT side shortcut key
Plastic construction (but I'm really struggling to find any real cons)
I've had this phone for about 5 weeks, using T-Mobile network and it's just fantastic. It's as simple as that. previous phones included Nokia 6600, Moto Razr, Moto KRZR and I still think Nokia makes the best PHONE.
I read quite a lot of reviews of phones before 'upgrading' to the 5310 and noticed that most reviews don't even talk about the most important aspect of a cell phone... which is how good it is for making and receiving calls. I've had a bunch of cell phones in the past 10 years and Nokia, without question, makes the best phone (for phone calls). Reception in excellent, call quality is excellent, and the sound is excellent. So, first and foremost, for making and receiving calls, the 5310 is outstanding.
To go along with that, the menu set up is very easy to understand, navigate and change if you need to.
Texting (as always with Nokia) is simple. Predictive text does a good job
The multimedia features are very good - it even has an excellent camera (for a cell phone) and the photos you take while you're out and about look very crisp and clear (although I don't take many pics with my phone). Video is fine. I'd read a review saying the video was poor quality, and it seems to be fine on this phone and better than my previous phones - but again, I rarely use a video feature. The music player and radio are very good, and it saves me from taking my iPod to the gym, or when I go for a quick run around the neighborhood.
It would be perfect if it was constructed with a metal shell but I really cannot complain about anything with the 5310. If you're thinking about a new phone, seriously consider this one

Nokia 5310 Pc Suite

Finally what been waiting for, 15 years of techno devices i can't live without crammed into one stupidly simple to use pocket-sized package.
Imagine the power-user possibilities of the Nokia 5310...
I wake to its alarm, check my email with the built in email app, get in the car and plug it in into my car stereo just as my i-pod would via the standard size head phone jack. No Nokia specific accessories are needed and it has dedicated music buttons on the left side of the phone.
When I get to the office and sync it with my schedule via the Free Nokia PC Suite. During a mid-morning meeting, I Mapquest an address to meet a client for lunch via its true html web browser.
On my way home I power up my bluetooth and give a shout out to my friends. Did i mention it has voice recognition control of all its features while using a headset? By 6:30pm I'm taking snap shots while tossing back a few at the local pub (2MP camera and 5 hours of video).
When I get in for the night, I link it to my computer via its supplied USB cable. Next, I launch Napster Music Subscription to create a new play list for Tomorrow's commute. Meanwhile I'm still pondering what DVD to rip to my phone for the flight I have to endure this weekend.

Nice Phone

So far, this phone has just been great. No problems have occurred and this phone has been very convenient to me. Having a 3.5mm jack for my headphones is great and the speakers have pretty good quality. I love music, so having a phone with side-keys just for the mp3 is nice. The phone also came with a 1 GB microSD chip, which is all i needed, and a USB cable, so i was able to transfer my songs from my computer to my phone. The battery life on this phone is just phenomenal.

Worth every penny...

This phone is $50 with new activation or a 2 year contract renewal. The sound on it is crystal clear and loud. Super slim and packed with tons of great features. I would recommend this phone to anyone who wants something flashy and high quality at a low price. Check out the specs!!

Not what I expected

I've had a cell phone for many, many years and have always remained loyal to Nokia. Due to the fact that there weren't many Nokia's out at Tmobile last year, I was forced to go with a Motorola RIZR...not the best choice out there. I have constant problems with it and I was so excited when I saw the 5310! My girlfriend and I went to upgrade several days after it was released. The features on it are amazing as was the sound quality. And for those of you that think there is no shortcut key to the camera/video option, that is not true. There is a way to change the shortcut buttons on the navigational keypad as well as the left option key. Unfortunately, we both had to return our phones because the reception was literally horrid! I was consistently only getting 2-3 bars everywhere I went. I dropped many calls and when we spoke to each other on the 5310's, if you held the phone wrong, the sound was muffled. I was sad to see the phone go because it was awesome in everyway exception reception.

Great phone if you aren't a reliable person.

Pros:
*Ipod like music manager. (Almost worth keeping the phone for that purpose only)
*3.5mm Headphone jack
*Micro USB port + cord
*Loud and clear speaker
*Small and sexy
*Dedicated music keys
*Battery seems to last a long time.
*Animated themes support (have to find them)
*Nokia PC suite
*Comes with a one gig micro SD card. (I have a bunch of stuff already packed into the phone, such as 30 themes, 150 songs, over 500 pictures from previous phone, and over 100 wallpapers designed for the model)
*Plays video, takes video, and sends video.
Continuous music playback while multitasking, and music pauses for message and call alerts, and resumes after a call automatically.
*Customizable equalizer (Great if you have problems with too much bass in songs and love to play full blast)
Cons:
*Call quality is terrible. (compared to sprint sanyo katana 1 and samsung katalyst)
*Slight continuous beeping near earpiece when in call.
*Charger is weak and if dropped, could easily break the charger port inside the phone.
*Calls sometimes go straight to voicemail, and that makes my girlfriend very mad.
*Even in a parking lot, text messages took longer then 5 minutes to receive.
*Poor signal inside my house (with sprint I always get full reception ANYWHERE, or for that matter, any other phone)
I am using Tmobile in South San Jose, California, even though I am going to say that I believe it is the phone, and not the carrier that causes the problems.
Final thought:
If you are running a business, or a frequently contacted by phone, do not get this phone.
I strongly label this phone as an ipod with phone capabilities. (Think about cell phones with camera capabilities, and you will get what I mean)

Great phone, only a few complaints

Jun 30, 2008 by moley

This is a really good phone, and with some tweaking, is GREAT!
PROS:
Size (slim and light)
Dedicated music keys (play/pause, track up/down, volume)
VERY loud speakerphone. Also great volume for sharing your music, or listening to podcasts without headphones.
Plays music while browsing the web, etc.
FULL SIZE 3.5mm standard headphone jack!
Comes with a USB cable for transferring files, a 1GB microSD card, headphones, and microphone adapter to use with your own headphones!
CONS:
Crippled T-Mobile firmware does not allow 3rd party Java apps like Opera Mini and GMail, GMaps (This phone is VERY easy to debrand, though)
Battery life isn't stellar, but it's a VERY slim phone, and most of us charge our phones every day, right?
No 3G data...but this isn't a phone really made for doing any major web surfing. Opera Mini makes browsing the web on this thing much more enjoyable anyway.

I love the mapping option on the phone. If you go to settings-phone-my shorcuts you can personalize any of the 4 shortcut keys INCLUDING the camera.

Nokia BB5 Code Input Instructions ( All New (ish) Nokia Phones are BB5, Unless Lumia)

2. Type the following into the phone # P W + CODE + 1 # ( CODE being the unlocking code )
To get letter P press * button quickly 3 times
To get letter W press * button quickly 4 times
To get letter + press * button quickly 2 times

3. The phone will show 'SIM Restriction Off' and will be unlocked.

Note: your unlock code is normally 15 digits long, sometimes you may get 2 codes for your nokia BB5 phone,
if this is the case the second code should be entered as # P W + CODE + 1 # just like the first code ( CODE being the unlocking code )
IMPORTANT TIP ONLY FOR UK ORANGE LOCKED NOKIA
Some Orange UK Nokia codes may fail, if this is the case use +7# instead of +1# for the code to work

Nokia BB5 Models - with full keyboards (E5, E61 / E62 etc)

1. Insert a SIM Card not from the original network (IE one it's not locked to)
2. Turn on the handset - Undo request will display, press undo if prompted. (your phone may display 'sim not recognised' if this is the case just start entering your code as in step3)

Nokia BB5 Code Error Problem Help

A lot of Nokia BB5 models require that you force the code to unlock it.
We are noticing this error problem more and more with newer Nokia BB5 phones, even if no attempts have been used on the phone.
Also, if your Nokia phone has had too many wrong attempts (3 + Attempts) using wrong unlock code from unreliable source, then your phone will display one of the following: 'Not Allowed' or 'Cannot undo restriction'. If you have this problem, then use the force code method below

How To Force Nokia BB5 Code

Please follow these steps?
1. Download this program SendCodeUsb.exe (Don't run it just yet.)
2. Download and Install the latest Nokia PC Suite (This installs the phone drivers)
3. Connect your phone to the PC and select PC Suite on your phone screen, then wait for all the drivers to install.
4. Run the 'SendCodeUsb.exe' program.
5. Click the 'Read Phone Info' button to check the connection, you will also see some info about your phone.
6. Tick the 'Check for FBus' option.
7. Enter the unlocking code supplied into the 'Unlock Code (15 digits)' box. NOTE: only enter the middle numbers part
EG if your code is #pw+418636523456123+1#, then just enter 418636523456123
8. Next, select the Lock 'Level (1-7)'. this should be set at 1.
9. Finally Click the 'Send Unlock Code' button to send the code to the phone and unlock it.
Here's a view of the program running and connected:
Example Video

Also Note: Some newer Nokia models like X3-02 and others cannot have their code forced by the software in the video above.
So you need to reset the key counter back to zero first using this alternative Nokia Key Counter Reset Software, then enter your code manually via the phones keypad in the normal way

Nokia DCT4 Models (Older phones)

1. Turn on your phone without a SIM Card in it
2. Enter the unlocking code # p w + YOUR_CODE_HERE + 1 #
3. The phone will now unlock.
Note: Use the codes ending with either +1#, +7# or even +5#.

Models : Nokia DCT3 (Oldest)

1. Turn on your phone without a SIM Card in it
2. Enter the unlocking code # p w + YOUR_CODE_HERE + 1 #
3. The phone will now unlock.
Note: Use the codes ending with either +1# or +2# only.

If the above method fails try inserting a locked SIM (IE one that the phone will not accept) and try the unlock code again.

Problems with code supplied?

Firstly Double check the code you ordered by comparing the IMEI submitted with the one on your phone (Type *#06#) if it is different. Also double check that you requested the correct network that the phone is currently locked to.
